El linalol huele a coriandro o cilantro y jazmín; el nerol a los cítricos bergamota y naranja; el geraniol recuerda el aroma de las *rosas; el trepineol recuerda al pino y el citronelol a los cítrricos toronja y limón.

Definición Olor agradable, de carácter floral, que puede presentarse bajo multiplicidad de matices originados por sustancias presentes en el vino, como el alcohol feniletílico. Flowery odour reminiscent of the scent given off by a rose, with hints of blooming rose, withered rose and rose petals brought about by the presence of terpene compounds (geraniol and nerol) and phenylethylene alcohol,or hints of rose wood brought about by the presence of linalol.
