Siguiendo hacia el sur por el lado este sobre el Adriático, se encuentra la región de Marcas que sobresale por sus excelentes vinos blancos hechos a base de la uva *Verdicchio y sus tintos muy bien elaborados con Montepulciano, como el Rosso Conero. 

They focus on pure varietal *Verdicchio, made using grapes from their 60ha (150 acres) of vineyards, spread over various sites. Le *Verdicchio est surtout cultivé dans les Marches; on le rencontre également dans les Abruzzes, l'Ombrie, la Romagne et même dans le Frioul.

Definición Variedad que se cultiva en Italia, especialmente en Las Marcas y en Umbría. Cultivated principally in central Italy, where it's usually made into simple, clean white wines in the region known as the Marche. Principal cépage blanc, donnait des vins légers et citronnés (parfois effervescents).
