Otras variedades son cultivadas en la región meridional pero no cubren más que pequeñas superficies (Picapol negra, *Tibouren).

*Tibouren is a pale-skinned grape suited to making rosé, as it allows for fuller fruity character to be developed without extracting lots of colour. Le *tibourin a tout simplement le goût de la Côte d'Azur, du soleil et des vacances; quel bonheur, ce rosé à a la tiente claire, légèrement saumonée, qui se déguste au soleil couchant face au golfe de Saint-Tropez!

Definición Variedad tinta muy típica de Provenza. A well-known variety all along the French Riviera, and especially along the gulf of St. Tropez, where it is used primarily to make rosé wines. Cépage noir cultivé en Provence, donnant des vins peu colorés, délicats et frais.
